Our new plant allows us to reduce CO2 emissions and water consumption, thanks to the installation of solar panels, meters and flow meters. We have also digitalised processes and adopted measures to promote the circular economy, biodiversity and pollution prevention.

OCA – Carbon Footprint Certificate
At Patatas Meléndez we want to know the real impact that our activity has on the atmosphere and the environment, we have a firm commitment to sustainability and environmental balance, to guarantee future generations a cleaner and greener planet.
The Carbon Footprint is a verifiable indicator that allows us to quantify the GHG emissions (greenhouse gases) released into the atmosphere attributable to an organisation, product, service or event, which is measured in mass (tonnes, kilos, etc.) of CO2 equivalent (CO2eq or CO2e). This calculation allows any company or organisation to be aware of the impact that its activity generates on our environment in order to embark on a path of improvement and commitment to reducing this type of emissions.
Our main lines of action are
Continue to increase the installation of solar panels, continue working with green energy and gradually migrate to electric or hybrid vehicles.
