Alain Betancourt joins Patatas Meléndez as the new Sales Director.

2020 has been a year of incorporating new talent at Patatas Meléndez. We now announce that Alain Betancourt has joined the company as Commercial Director.

Betancourt is a professional with a long career of 20 years linked to fresh products, mainly in Carrefour España, S.A. (1997 to 2018), where he has held positions as National Training Manager for Fresh Products and National Coordinator, Project Manager for the New Commercial Model for Fresh Products, and Sales Development Manager for Fresh Products in Carrefour Supermarkets. He is the architect of, among other milestones, the automation of fresh produce orders for the entire group; or the development of the new Carrefour Gourmet commercial model, materialised in the Carrefour Market premium supermarket, located in Madrid’s Calle Conde de Peñalver.

He has also worked as Commercial Director and Senior Consultant in Consulting. Betancourt studied law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid,

He has joined our company, Patatas Meléndez, as the new Sales Director, with the aim of defining and developing an innovative sales strategy based on his extensive knowledge of consumer demand, and to bring the product even closer to customers.

He will lead the commercial team, with whom he will work incorporating innovation and contributing to generate added value, both in day-to-day management and from the strategic point of view of the company.
